Oil colours are a wonderful, versatile medium to paint with. When you use it for painting a Portrait, there are some tips that I have learned over the last 30 years of painting portraits, and in this video package I share those tips as I paint. Each video is part of a Demo, so you see me working, and discussing the process and pitfalls, as I work. One of the video ranges was shot whilst doing an Oil Colour Portrait in class, so that my students in class could learn the process of painting a portrait in oils. Join us as I tackle the portrait, from the first drawing to the background, and the finishing off process. In essence you can become a part of the classroom without being there in the physical. We laugh together, as we learn together. The process of learning to paint a portrait is invigorating and ongoing… I am still learning every time I pick up the paint brush.
