Theme: A Free state
I once lived in the Free state, South africa, on a small plot 18 km’s from Parys.
I loved living there, the house was an old school house before we bought it, and started renovating it.
I could roam freely on the grounds, taking in the cattle grazing a bit away, up on the mountain.
One dayI picked up a prickly pear leaf, that had fallen to the ground.
It had turned brown in bits, but there was stilla little bit of green in it.
I found it beautiful, and painted it.
The old photo worked perfectly with it for me, a women out and about, feeding the chickens.
We never know if something that seems to have no value anymore, might still have great value to the One
who can make beauty from ashes…because it still has some life in it,
and He is the giver of Life.
